How far do global energy shocks travel through Cambodia's economy, and how can policy help it adapt?

On 18 September, CDRI hosted a Policy Dialogue on "The Impact of Ongoing Energy Shocks on the Cambodian Economy" at the CDRI Library. Economists, energy policy experts and environmental scientists came together to trace how fuel and import-cost shocks pass through to households, firms and public finances, and what that means for Cambodia's growth path.

The session was chaired and moderated by Prof Dr Matthew McCartney, Chief Economist, CDRI. The discussion covered transmission channels across manufacturing, agriculture, transport and household welfare, and the policy responses that can build resilience as shocks compound.
