CDRI joins the launch of the Global Environmental Think Tank Network in Hangzhou

The Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI), represented by Dr Eng Netra, Executive Director, is proud to take part in the International Symposium on Environmental Think Tank Development and Cooperation, held in Hangzhou, China, on 16–17 October 2026, organised by Zhejiang University of Technology and the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences under the theme “Policy Options and Pathways for Green Transition.” It brings together leading environmental think tanks, universities and international organisations from Asia, Europe and beyond.

CDRI is honoured to join this event as a founding member of the Global Environmental Think Tank Network (GETT-Net). The network aims to strengthen cooperation among environmental think tanks and to help shift economic and social development towards green, low-carbon, and sustainable models.

In the thematic session on “Progress and Challenges of Green Transition in Key Sectors,” Dr Netra presents “Scientific Knowledge and Policymaking Process: Opportunities and Challenges for Country and Global Comparative Learning.” Drawing on Cambodia's experience, from its 2050 carbon-neutrality strategy to its clean energy, electric vehicle and energy-efficiency policies, she will discuss how research evidence can better inform green-transition policy and what Cambodia can learn from international practice. She will also share insights in the panel discussion on think tank capacity building and cooperation.
