30 July 2025CDRI at Mekong Forum 2025
From 30 to 31 July 2025, CDRI was proud to engage in and contribute to the Mekong Forum 2025, hosted by the Mekong Institute, where we joined as a strategic partner. This forum brought together over 200 high-level participants including policymakers, private sector leaders, development partners, and regional experts to explore innovative, inclusive, and sustainability-driven economic models for the Greater Mekong Subregion.
Dr Mak Sithirith, Director of CDRI’s Environment Centre, contributed to the panel discussion “Special Focus on Agri-food Systems: Strengthening BCE for Safer, Climate-Smart Food Systems in Cambodia,” sharing his observation on relevant government’s policies as well as key implementation challenges.
Our Executive Director, Dr. Eng Netra, engaged in a key dialogue with Mr. Suriyan Vichitlekarn, Executive Director of the Mekong Institute, to synthesize the main outcomes of this 1.5-day forum. The discussion underscored the importance of this annual gathering in fostering regional collaboration, supporting the growth of emerging economies in the Greater Mekong Subregion, and advancing a more sustainable and resilient future.
CDRI continues to expand and deepen its regional engagement as we remain committed to promoting resilience, inclusion, and cooperation to tackle the region’s most pressing challenges. We also would like to also take this opportunity to extend our sincere congratulations to the Mekong Institute and Ministry of Planning for the successful organization of the Mekong Forum 2025.
