25 October 2025CDRI at ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) 2025!
At the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (ABIS) 2025, our Executive Director Dr Netra ENG participated as a panel speaker among ASEAN education industry leaders and senior policymakers including Malaysia’s Higher Education Minister to discuss on “Educating ASEAN: Aligning Policy, Talent, and Innovation with Regional Growth”, exploring how ASEAN can (1) transform its education system and talent development strategies in response to the demands of an AI-driven, digital, and sustainable future and (2) strengthen cross-border cooperation on talent mobility, mutual recognition of qualifications, and shared education standards.
The panel also discusses potential roles ASEAN institutions (e.g., SEAMEO, ASEAN Secretariat) should play in driving a unified skills agenda and explores how both public and private education systems can evolve to meet the demands of the digital and green economies, fostering innovation and equitable growth across the region.
The ASEAN Business and Investment Summit is an annual flagship regional forum that brings together heads of state, business leaders, and entrepreneurs from ASEAN and partner countries to shape the future of ASEAN's economy.
