Annual Development Review 2011-12

The 2012 conference, on the theme Cambodia’s Priorities for Inclusive Growth, Regional Integration and ASEAN Leadership, focuses on three critical issues for Cambodia and its socioeconomic outlook – how to achieve high levels of inclusive growth and associated sustainable development and poverty reduction, the critical role that the integration of Cambodia’s economy in the Greater Mekong Sub-region, ASEAN and the broader East Asian region will play in achieving that growth and development, and the opportunity presented by Cambodia’s chairing of ASEAN in 2012 in promoting the ace and quality of that integration, and the benefits it will bring. This introduction provides an overview of Cambodia’s current economic and development situation, its utlook and imperatives for future growth and development, its regional context, and some of the challenges and policy responses that should be considered as Cambodia oves forward.


The English language version of the review is accompanied by Khmer language summaries of each chapter contained in a separate volume to broaden the review’s audience and accessibility.
